Write for 91探花: Affiliate Blog Series

We are planning content for a Literacy & 91探花 blog series called Affiliates in Action, featuring stories of successful activities of 91探花鈥檚 state and regional affiliates. Our goal is to showcase and celebrate all that our affiliates and their members are doing to advance literacy education and to support ELA educators. 91探花 welcomes written pieces on this topic. We also invite accompanying photos that you have permission to share. We are particularly looking for stories that include the voices and experiences of affiliate leaders and affiliate members. Affiliate Exhibit Kits

One service 91探花 provides to its affiliates is a sampling of publications to display at affiliate conferences.聽 An 91探花 exhibit at your conference enables your members to see for themselves the varied publications 91探花 has to offer.聽 Those who are interested in joining 91探花 will be able to pick up an 91探花 membership application right at the exhibit.

  • The Affiliate Exhibit Kit聽is sent at no cost to affiliates and contains complimentary items such as publications, catalogs, journals, and other 91探花 resources. Affiliate Exhibit Kits should be ordered at least six weeks before your conference.
  • The 91探花 Publication Sales Option allows affiliates to order an unlimited聽number of 91探花 publications and 91探花 merchandise at a 40% discount from the聽nonmember price and keep any profit earned from exhibit sales. Orders聽plus an additional shipping charge must be prepaid. If express shipping is requested, affiliates will be invoiced for the actual cost of that shipping. This option also comes with the聽materials found in the Affiliate Exhibit kit mentioned above. Orders for聽91探花 Publication Sales聽Option must聽be made at least six weeks聽before the conference.

Are you looking for a dynamic聽national English language arts presenter聽for your upcoming conference? The 91探花 Cosponsored Speaker Program contains a select group of聽91探花 leaders, authors, editors, and staff聽willing to present a keynote address or workshop聽for no honorarium.

91探花 Intellectual Freedom Center

91探花 recognizes that the freedom to read and other components of intellectual freedom are vital to literacy and our mission. Through the Intellectual Freedom Center, 91探花 has for many decades offered guidance, tools, and other support to teachers faced with challenges in classrooms and schools pertaining to texts (e.g., literary works, films and videos, drama productions), student writing, and/or to teaching methods.

As affiliate leaders, we know your members often reach out in need of assistance. We encourage you to direct your members to the 91探花 Intellectual Freedom Center‘s resources and hotline, which provides confidential information, guidance, support, and next steps in accordance with 91探花鈥檚 resources on intellectual freedom in the classroom. We are here to support you and your affiliate members in the fight against censorship.
